Blues rock musical duo, The Black Keys, just released the official video for their hit “Howlin’ For You,” and seriously, I couldn’t help but laugh. For this song, they decided to pay homage to film directors Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino with a paradoy movie grindhouse trailer.
Here’s the official synopsis for the video:
“Alexa Wolff, a sexy assassin with a troubled past, unknowingly falls in love with the man who killed her father. He is not her first love, though. Two other men came before. But they would not have her. Now, all grown up with an appetite for revenge, Alexa’s leaving a trail of bloody corpses and broken hearts in her wake.”
Several actors can be seen in the trailer, including Tricia Helfer, Sean Patrick Flannery, Corbin Bernsin, Diora Baird, Christian Serratos and Todd Bridges. Snowboarder Shaun White even has a cameo as an assassination victim.
So check out this music video/parody trailer – you’ll even spot The Black Keys in the video playing as themselves as Las Teclas de Negro. Enjoy!
